Full disclosure: I did not buy this, it was a gift.
With that being said, would I have bought the Tec Accessories Ti Tape for the whopping $45 they are asking for it?………… Absolutely!

Having had this very tiny tape measure for about 3 months now, I can safely say that it comes in handy in many situations that I find myself in day to day. Things like measuring parts and pieces for different projects I’m working on to trying to figure out how big a new piece of EDC gear is before buying. The TEC Accessories Ti Tape has proven itself to be a handy piece of gear.

This tape is really useful for quick measurements on the fly. Having a maximum measuring length of 3ft I don’t recommend taking this as your only tape to a job site but just for having something small to quickly and precisely measure things, it excels.
It is expensive, there is no getting around that, but a feature that keeps it from being a disposable object like most tape measures is that the tape is replaceable if you happen to damage it. Shown above, you can see the set screw used to access the tape to replace it. The tape can be purchased at TEC Accessories website for around $7.

The tape features a 3 foot, non locking, spring steel measuring tape. So because, the tape is non locking you do have to physically hold the tape every time you use it, otherwise it will retract back into the body, but this doesn’t seem to cause a problem considering how small of distance you can actually cover with the tape. The tape shown above is being held open with a small piece of paper.

The size of the TI Tape is definitely the main selling point for it. Being the perfect size to ride in the change pocket of my jeans it does not take up a lot of room nor does it get in the way of putting or removing items from my pocket. The titanium case dimension comes in at 1 and1/4 inches, about the diameter of a quarter(shown above) and the thickness of 3/8 inches, which is about the same thickness as five quarters stacked on top of each other(shown below). Since it is made of titanium it is lightweight but also very sturdy, weighing in at only 21 grams.

In conclusion the TI Tape is what I believe to be the best EDC measuring tape that you can buy. Although, this will not replace a Stanley FATMAX on your tool belt, it is not meant to. This is meant to disappear on your person but still be useful. With the size, weight and tape length: these factors make it amazing for pocket carry, it is truly something that you forget that you have it until you need it.
